Amaya is a Senior Associate solicitor in our Private Client department. She joined Hanne & Co as a trainee solicitor in 2012, qualifying into the department in 2014. During her time at Hanne & Co, she has dealt with a wide array of matters including the preparation of Wills, trusts, advice on inheritance tax, the administration of estates, lasting powers of attorney and applications to the Court of Protection. Amaya also deals with contentious probate including 1975 Act claims, challenge of wills in relation to validity, capacity and undue influence, and the removal of executors amongst other matters.
Amaya aims to help clients through whatever the issue may be, whether it is helping them deal with the legal side of things after the loss of a loved one, or whether it is to help clients plan for their future by advising them on the law and guiding them in achieving their objectives for both themselves and for their families.
Based in the medieval city of York, Amaya conducts most meetings with clients remotely, which means this can take place from the comfort of their homes. Alternatively, video meetings can be arranged from our London offices.
