The firm’s Charity Committee is delighted to announce that Hanne & Co’s nominated charity for 2017 – 2018 is Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.
Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to women affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities, by providing information and support to those affected and through campaigning to raise awareness of cervical cancer prevention, in addition to conducting and commissioning research. Their stated vision is a future where cervical cancer is a thing of the past.
Every year in the UK, around 3,000 women will be diagnosed with cervical cancer, which is the most common cancer in women aged 35 and under.
The trust was founded in the hope that one day everyone would have easy access to the best and most up to date information and medical advice, and that women affected by cervical cancer would have the opportunity to communicate with others facing similar challenges. Since then the trust has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of cervical cancer, its causes and how to prevent it.
Hanne & Co is proud to be associated with Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and the Charity Committee will work throughout the year to raise funds for them through various events and initiatives.
