Representing Guardians
How can we help?
In accordance with our undertaking to the Law Society our Child Care Law team will always personally represent the children in care proceedings or other disputes where the child has separate representation unless it is in the child’s best interest for us not to do so. This means that we will conduct our own advocacy wherever possible, although we may instruct counsel to represent the child in highly complex cases.
We are happy to travel to courts within the greater London area to represent you and may also travel to courts outside this area. We have experience of representing children in especially complex cases involving allegations of serious sexual or physical abuse and neglect and in the specialist Family Drug and Alcohol Court.
We provide a highly professional service to all of our clients and are happy to be appointed by children’s guardians in private law proceedings where the child is separately represented under rule 9.5 Family Proceedings Rules, as well as in care and supervision proceedings.
