Elinor is a Partner in the family department and deals with a broad spectrum of issues arising from family breakdown, in addition to divorce. She is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in both complex financial remedies and domestic abuse cases and a Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer (2023).
Elinor has extensive experience of a broad range of family law issues including divorce, matrimonial finances, cohabitation disputes, pre and post-nuptial agreements, domestic violence applications, including non-molestation and occupation orders, as well as private law children matters including successful applications for Leave to Remove children from this jurisdiction. Elinor has a personal interest in matrimonial and non-matrimonial financial matters finance experience includes high net worth cases, international assets and complex business interests.

Elinor frequently deals with emergency applications, whether they are without notice applications for Non-Molestation and Occupation orders, Prohibited Steps or Specific Issue orders in respect of children, or financial applications such as emergency freezing injunctions.
Being a Resolution Accredited Specialist, Elinor is also experienced in resolving matters outside of litigation and is committed to resolving disputes in a practical, constructive way in order to achieve the best outcome for her clients. She is conscious of the personal nature of family disputes and deals with the issues raised in a sensitive and considerate manner.
Elinor is an active member of Resolution and was elected to the South West London Resolution Committee in 2023.
Elinor studied Psychology at the University of Birmingham before completing the GDL and LPC at the College of Law. She joined Hanne & Co in 2007 as a trainee solicitor and qualified into the Family department in 2009 becoming a Partner in 2021.

Financial remedies case concerning important issues regarding no disclosure and fraudulent documents. Nominated for ‘Case of the Year’ at Family law Awards in 2023. Case reported: X v Y [2022] EWFC 95
Believed to be the second case concerning S. 15 (1)(c) MFPA 1984 Part III application which dealt with distribution of the proceeds of sale of a property in England following an overseas divorce. Case reported: A v B [2023] EWFC 241
