Jennie joined Hanne & Co in March 2024 as a Child Care Solicitor and is committed to achieving positive outcomes for families.

Jennie worked as a paralegal before starting her training contract within a busy family team, dealing with both private and public family matters. Jennie has experience handling a variety of family matters including child arrangements, domestic abuse, PLO, care proceedings and special guardianship orders. she has represented parents, grandparents and children through their Guardians.

Prior to working as a paralegal, Jennie graduated from Bournemouth University in 2015 and went on to complete a Masters in Environmental Law before completing her LPC/LLM at BPP University, graduating with a distinction in 2020.

Outside of work, Jennie enjoys travelling and everything ‘outdoors’, spending her time in the garden, a her allotment, hiking and camping.

Recent / Notable experience

Represented a mother of twins in care proceedings. Her three older children had been removed from her care historically. The Local Authority sought separation and this was supported by the Children’s Guardian. The Court initially sanctioned interim separation. Jennie identified a new residential unit who were prepared to accept the family. Jennie made an urgent s.38(6) application which was granted, despite being opposed by the parties.

Jennie represented a father in a complex care case involving alleged NAIs. The client was in the pool of perpetrators. The case did proceed to a Fact Finding / Contested Final Hearing and Jennie assisted with all steps up to and including the trial.
