Expertise

Michele was admitted in 1994 and knew she wanted to specialise in family law, which she was drawn to at university and during her training.

Within 10 years, Michele obtained Family Law accreditation with both the Law Society and the SFLA (now Resolution), became a member of the Children Panel to enable her to represent children, was listed in the Legal 500 and became a Partner of the largest law firm in the South East at the time.

She then took a break from the law, during which time Michele worked with international students at various universities, both in Canada and the U.K. During this period, she accrued invaluable experience in management, marketing, business development and human resources and gained insight into a range of different cultures and how other industries operated. Michele strongly believes this exposure has contributed to shaping her into a well-rounded professional with many transferable skills.

Michele returned to children’s law in 2019 and became a Director in 2020 and was re-admitted onto the Children’s Panel in 2021. For the past 4 years she has represented parents, children, grandparents and other family members in primarily public law proceedings. She nurtured and developed a dedicated team, managed a branch office and substantially grew the department’s business, whilst garnering a successful following of both lay and professional clients.

Outside of work Michele enjoys travelling, food and sport (especially football).
