Expertise
Sam is a trainee solicitor currently in our Property Litigation & Dispute Resolution department assisting Partner Victoria Copeman. Prior to this, Sam has completed two seats in our Family & Divorce and Private Client Departments.
Before joining Hanne and Co, Sam was a paralegal in the Family team at Payne Hicks Beach working on private law finances and children matters, which occasionally involved an international element due to parental separation.
Sam also has some experience of public children proceedings, having been a mini-pupil at a number of specialist chambers before deciding that a career as a solicitor was the right path for him.
In 2020 Sam completed his GDL at the City Law School with a Commendation and the following year he completed his LPC with a Distinction. For his undergraduate degree, he read International Relations with Philosophy at Exeter University. This included a dissertation on where the legal balance should lie between fundamental human rights which are essential to the rule of law and the preservation of national security when deciding on how the state should treat individuals suspected of terrorism-related offences.
In his spare time, Sam enjoys playing golf and football and follows Fulham FC home and away every weekend.
