Expertise
Sophie is a solicitor in our Family & Divorce Law department, having qualified in May 2024 following successfully completing her training contract with the firm. During her training contract, Sophie worked under partners Elinor Feeny and Anna Gowen, gaining exposure to complex children and financial work.
Sophie has experience in all areas of family law including divorce, matrimonial finances, separation, children, special guardianship orders and injunctions. She is empathetic, discreet and understanding of the emotional sensitivities of family disputes, adopting a practical approach and promoting amicability between the parties where possible.
Sophie read Law at the University of Exeter from 2016 to 2019, graduating with first class honours, following which she completed the LPC at the University of Law, achieving a distinction. Before joining Hanne & Co, Sophie worked for a Legal 500 family law firm in London in the International Children Department, working on both public and private children cases.
Outside of work, Sophie enjoys DIY work including upcycling furniture, constantly redecorating her flat and reading thriller novels.
