The Resolution Specialist Accreditation Scheme recognises members who demonstrate excellence in the practice of family law and in their specific areas of expertise.

For Maisie this is in Children Law (Private) and Complex Lower Income Financial Remedies, and for Hazel in Children Law (Private) and Domestic Abuse.

The accreditation is a mark of excellence in practice, recognised by the public, members of the judiciary and the Legal Aid Agency. It demonstrates the outstanding level of skills and expertise of both Hazel and Maisie.

Hazel is committed to, and passionate about, family law – in particular in relation to the welfare of children. She is regularly instructed to assist clients on private law children matters that involve complex issues such as parental alienation, intractable contact disputes or domestic abuse and she regularly applies for and responds to applications for Child Arrangement, Prohibited Steps and Specific Issue Orders. Hazel often undertakes her own advocacy on her children cases to assist clients throughout the progress of their case and provide consistency during what can be very difficult times. Hazel regularly assists clients with divorce and financial remedies and has a personal and compassionate approach when advising on issues arising from a family breakdown. She is rigorous in resolving issues as quickly and as cost-effectively as possible whilst ensuring a bespoke service is provided to her clients.

Maisie has experience in all elements of family cases, including the tax implications on divorce/separation, complex financial settlements, Trusts of Land, Leave to Remove applications, intervenor issues and complex business interests. She is particularly adept at understanding where a likely settlement will be and, unsurprisingly, is looking to focus on finances in the future. Maisie’s approach is, wherever possible, to resolve disputes in a sensible, constructive and, importantly, compassionate way in order to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.

Congratulations to them both, we are all very proud of their achievements!
