Hanne@Quizmas!

We held our annual Christmas quiz on 4th December 2019 at the Sir Christopher Hatton Pub in Chancery Lane. There was a great turn-out with an array of barrister’s chambers ready to compete for this year’s quiz title and raise money for our charity of the year – the Katherine Low Settlement (KLS).

The night began with refreshments and a speech from a member of the Katherine Low Settlement team. Then to the main event, the quiz. Steve Bannell, one of Hanne & Co’s conveyancing solicitors reprised his role as quizmaster for the evening. He could be heard reading the wonderful lyrics from The Little Drummer Boy, “pa rum pum-pum pum…” in the music round and quoting “Brenda from Bristol” in the politics round. Ely Place were the big winners on the night.

Throughout the evening our charity committee sold raffle tickets for the wonderful prizes which had been collected over the previous months. These ranged from Rugby Premiership final tickets to restaurant vouchers. There was something to catch everyone’s eye.

The big finale of the night was the auction and following a whirlwind of bids another Christmas quiz came to a close. The evening proved to be a great success and a lot of fun. We raised over £3,100 for KLS.

Thank you to all who donated prizes and supported this great cause. See you all next year!
