On 15 February 2016, the Charity Committee hosted ‘The Big Love Bake Off’ in aid of our charity of the year, Wandsworth & Westminster Mind.
Our participants (ranging from paralegals and trainees all the way to an Equity Partner) braved the throes of packed tube trains and buses and exceeded all our expectations with this wonderful spread of entries in a bid to win the competition (and the coveted title of ‘Hanne & Co Best Baker 2016’).
Our judges (Sophia Raja, Lorna West, Linda Heerah and Jo Brind) had the enviable task of tasting and scoring each baked good. The scores were very close (with only 0.5 points between the winner and runner-up!) but the winning entry was the Raspberry Cheesecake Brownies, baked by trainee solicitor Patrick Jeynes.
Congratulations Patrick! And a special mention goes to our Runners-Up, Rokeya Dangor with her Chocolate and Raspberry Victoria Sponge, and Prue Abrahams who secured third place with her Millionaires Shortbread with Salted Peanuts.
