Hanne & Co’s team of trainees and paralegals were delighted to take part in Monday’s London Legal Walk, which has already raised over £600,000 for free legal advice agencies in London. The head of our Child Care team, Lorna Cservenka, joined the Rights of Women walking team, an organisation she has volunteered with for over 10 years.
Over 9000 lawyers joined the 10k march through Central London, making this a record breaking year. It was a magnificent route through St James’ Park and Hyde Park, with picturesque views and alongside the spectacle of the walkers. At the finish line we were welcomed with a street party which included some fantastic performers, including a live Samba band.
Access to pro-bono advice has never been more vital, as Legal Aid funding continues to be cut in every available area. We are proud to raise money and participate in the walk, organised by the London Legal Support Trust which funds Law Centres and pro-bono agencies across London.
