Hanne & Co has been offering legal services to individuals and local businesses in Wandsworth and beyond since 1889. They have a long history of supporting both local and national charities, and this year they are thrilled to be fundraising for the Katherine Low Settlement, who, based just up the road from their riverside offices in Battersea, are doing fantastic work within the local community.
Hanne selected the Katherine Low Settlement (KLS), as their chosen charity for 2019/20 having been impressed by the direct services they deliver to the community’s most vulnerable, such as lunch clubs for the elderly and mentoring for young refugees. KLS also work cohesively with other local charities to support them in addressing the community’s needs, as well as campaigning to tackle issues such as homelessness caused by the universal credit scheme.
Hanne & Co will hold regular fundraising events this year, including bake offs, sponsored sporting events and their annual Christmas Quiz to raise funds to support KLS’ work. They also hope there will be an opportunity to extend the legal expertise they have within their established family, housing and property, crime, employment, commercial and private client departments to assist KLS and its members.
