In 25*C heat of the afternoon of Monday 19 May 2014, representatives from across the different departments of Hanne & Co. Solicitors took part in the annual London Legal Trust 10k Walk, which managed to raise an estimated half a million pounds for a whole range of charities that help London’s poorest and most vulnerable people access justice.
Representatives from our Commercial, Family, Criminal, Private Client and Conveyancing teams took to the streets along with representatives of hundreds of other firms from across the City. Hoards of yellow balloons floated through the sky as hundreds of lawyers below streamed up the streets from Temple up to Westminster and then up across St. James’ Park, Green Park, over Hyde Park Corner and through Hyde Park, coming back up the Mall, across Trafalgar Square and up the Strand to finish at the Royal Courts of Justice.
At Hanne & Co Solicitors, we see on a daily basis how the Legal Aid cuts are affecting the ability of ordinary people to access legal advice. It is with this in mind that we are immensely proud to be involved in this annual event to help those in need of advice but financially unable to access legal help.
