Trusts
We can advise on the creation and administration of trusts.
What are Trusts?
Trusts are used for different reasons, but the most common reasons are:
- to control the use of funds in order to provide for a particular person or persons; or
- to own a property jointly; or
- as a useful tax planning tool.
How can we help?
We draft the trust, or trusts, taking into consideration what it is you are seeking to achieve and the most suitable type of trust for your needs. Everybody’s circumstances are different, and specific powers will need to be drafted according to your wishes. It may be that the beneficiary is a child under 18 years old or lacks mental capacity to deal with finances. Prue Abrahams regularly advises people who wish to create discretionary trusts to cater for the special needs of people with learning or other disabilities.
Depending upon the trust there are different tax implications upon which we will advise you. We can assist in the setting up and administration and can act as trustees or advisors of trustees as you wish.
